March 12, 2018

PHOENIX--()--For the seventh consecutive year, Mesa Airlines’ Maintenance and Engineering Department has been awarded the Federal Aviation Administration’s prestigious Employer’s Diamond Award of Excellence. The FAA reserves this award for select carriers who completed the Aircraft Maintenance Training program with 100 percent participation from eligible technicians.

“Congratulations to our maintenance group for once again receiving this award recognizing their continued dedication to safety and training excellence,” said Chairman and CEO Jonathan Ornstein. “We truly appreciate all the hard work by our training department and maintenance employees to achieve this acknowledgment.”

The Diamond Award program encourages employers to participate in continuous learning training programs in aviation maintenance, human factors, fatigue risk management and FAA regulations. The Diamond Award is only given to companies that have reached the highest level of the program’s requirements.

“This award is a great example of the professionalism and dedication of our Aircraft Maintenance people,” said Jeff Domrese, Vice President of Maintenance. “I would like to personally thank each of them for the focus on our training program. The honor of receiving this FAA Diamond Award for the seventh consecutive year reiterates our commitment to safety.”
