William “Bill” Mostowy
Bill Mostowy joined the Mesa team in October 2019, as Senior Director of SOC (System Operations Control). He brings decades of experience in aircraft dispatch, training, safety, regulatory compliance and operations management. Prior to joining Mesa Airlines, Bill spent nearly four years as Aviation Programs Manager at IBM.
Bill began his career in aviation in 1996, as an Aircraft Dispatcher for SkyWest Airlines. In 1998 he was promoted to Operations Supervisor and held that position until being promoted to Director OCC, SkyWest Airlines, in 2009. Bill was responsible for daily operational oversight of the largest regional airline in the world. In addition to serving as the primary company contact for all operational issues, for every major partner, he also served on various leadership committees, to include FOQA and Safety.
Bill continued as Director OCC through 2016, until accepting a management role with IBM. In his 28 years in the industry, he has served in a variety of management, senior leadership, and consulting positions all within Part 121 aviation. Additionally, he has extensive safety and regulatory knowledge, working with the FAA over the last 25+ years.
Bill received his aircraft dispatcher license in 1996, from Sheffield School of Aeronautics. He also holds a degree in general studies from Miramar College, San Diego CA. Prior to beginning his career in aviation, Bill is also a decorated veteran having spent a combined seven years in the U.S. Army, between active duty and reserve.
